Want To Reverse Wrinkles? Then Use These Top 6 Sun Protection Tips

by Marcus Ryan

Want to look years younger than your age? Then you've got to now how to properly protect yourself from the sun. There are specific tips to prevent solar skin damage, and when you know them, you've got an unfair advantage when it comes to looking younger.
The cardinal rule for avoiding damage to your skin from sun exposure, regardless of your age, is to simply protect yourself in every way possible from the sun's ultraviolet rays. The best way to do that is, of course, to simply stay out of the sun, but that's not always an option. So you should safeguard your skin with a sunscreen of the appropriate strength, and with protective apparel.

The sun's ultraviolet rays are one of the biggest factors in causing skin to age prematurely, and in the occurrence of skin cancer. But you can drastically reduce the chances of either, if you simply follow a few suggestions which will keep you skin looking young.

Many people spend too much time in the sun without taking proper precautionary measures, under the mistaken impression that using a good wrinkle cream will let them atone for their mistakes. But wrinkle creams can only do so much, and will have as much as they can handle taking care of your existing signs of aging without your bringing new ones on board every time you leave the house in daylight.

What do you need to do to keep the sun from ruining your skin?

Step 1

The biggest step you can take toward a wrinkle free skin is to stay out of the sunlight during its peak hours, between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM. It's a far more effective way to save your skin by arranging your schedule so that your outdoor time is earlier or later in the day, than to slap on a sunscreen and hope for the best.

Step 2

If you do have to spend time in the sun, the second suggestion which you should heed is to wear a hat. And forget about looking cool by grabbing a baseball cap and turning it backwards, where its bill does absolutely nothing to shield your face. Even if you cringe at the sight of hats, wear a hat.

And make sure that the hat you choose has a brim wide enough to shade you entire face--forehead, nose, cheeks, chin, and neck. A wide brimmed gardening hat or beach hat; a cowboy hat; or a panama is all designed to protect their wearers from the sun.

Step 3

Third, don't stop with the hat. You need to wear clothes which will provide sun protection; most dry clothiers have an SPF rating of from 6 to 15, but that can drop below 5 if they become wet. If you're someone whose work or outdoor activities force you to be out in the heat of the day, you can find apparel from manufacturers like Solumbra and Solarweave with an SPF rating of 30 and up.

The minimum you should do is wear a long sleeved shirt and long pants whenever you are out in the sun.

Step 4

Finally, there are sunscreens, but they will protect you adequately only if you understand what kinds to get, and how and when to apply them. You need a sunscreen which will block both UVA and UVB rays, and you will have to apply it thickly enough to get the full benefit of its SPF rating.

Research has shown that most people use a layer of sunscreen only 20% as thick as it should be to provide maximum protection. So even if you hate the greasy feel and strong scent of sunscreen, you will have to slather it on.

Step 5

And when you use your sunscreen is as important as how much of it you use. Studies from the UK indicate that sunscreen should first be applied between fifteen and thirty minutes before you go outside, and again fifteen to thirty minutes after. You should also reapply it after swimming, toweling off, or participating in any activities which cause heavy perspiration.

Step 6

But the easiest, and most effective, way for you to prevent the sun from damaging your skin is to prevent the sun's rays from coming anywhere near it. If you must venture out when the sun is at its peak, cover yourself with sunscreen and appropriate clothing, and top off your ensemble with a broad-brimmed hat.

An ounce of prevention, as they say, is worth a pound of (wrinkle cream) cure, and with the best wrinkle creams being quite expensive, you can save your money as well as your skin by preventing sun damage.

Now you know what to do, so why not take the time to find the hat and sunscreen which will let you put your anti-sun aging plans to work?

Wrinkles - The Cure For Wrinkles Is In The Cause

Submitted By: Kacy Carr

For some women the sheer thought of wrinkles appearing on the face can have a devastating impact on how that particular woman copes with one of natures natural happenings as we age. Not wanting to burst your bubble ladies but if there was a cure for removing wrinkles permanently then why are those women with more money than sense still in possession of wrinkly skin. However, for the women who live in fear of fine lines and wrinkles there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Some wrinkle remedy advertisers - not only mislead women into believing miracles cures do exist but have the audacity to charge for their false information and failing promises of a cure which in the long run can be expensive leaving you out of pocket and a face full of creases.

Wrinkles are imminent and come to us all in due course, however there are positive ways you can sanction in slowing down wrinkles and fine lines appearing before their natural time. Causes directed towards premature aging of the skin are over exposure to the suns harmful UV rays and smoking. Avoiding causes will certainly help prevent early aging signs along with giving you a healthier outlook on life.

As the years creep up the skin creeps down, meaning the chin. This part of the face is more prone in developing wrinkly sagging skin or droopy flesh around the neck

Every part of the body skin ages in time but more so if over exposed to the sun. Damage brought on by the suns ultra violet rays (photoaging) includes dryness, sagginess, skin growths like keratoses (liver spots) and wrinkles. Unprotected skin can result in a more severe health risk occurring to your well being if skin cancer is caught.

Wrinkles are more likely to appear before their time on parts of the body like the face, neck, back of the hands, and top of the forearms because these are body parts more times exposed to the sun.

Wrinkles come in two categories: fine surface lines and deep furrows. Some proposed wrinkle treatments in general are much more effective for fine lines. But for the less fortunate woman who chose to ignore the warning signs and now wears a mask of deep creases may need more aggressive treatment like having plastic surgery to smooth out her deep wrinkles.

Sometimes and more often than not the cure for fine lines and wrinkles is to stamp out the cause that encouraged them in the first place.

Remember, complexions differ, some skin type's burn quicker than others. People with light skin and fair hair are more prone to sun damage. Sadly some people inherit early wrinkling. Common sense prevails when under threat from the suns weapons of destruction i.e. skin cancer, sunburn and wrinkles. Protect your self with sunscreen, cover the head, take intervals when sunbathing and keep on topping up with the sun cream

SPF numbers on sunscreen labels refer to protection against UVB radiation (shortwave ultraviolet light, the "sunburn rays"). More and more sunscreens offer protection against UVA radiation (longer-wave ultraviolet light) as well. UVA rays are the ones you get in tanning salons; they may not cause immediate sunburn but do promote sun damage and skin cancer. Are you one of these people who believe have been lucky in the past i.e. avoiding sunburn wrinkles and that death sentence "skin cancer" then remember time will tell where the past may catch up with you.

The numbers are great in people being laid out on a mortuary slab after catching skin cancer where they need never worry over wrinkles again. Worry about wrinkles when you are live.

You may bet every coroner in the country wears a hat on their head and smothers them self from head to toe in sun protection when out in the mid day sun.

How to Choose a Beauty Skin Care Product

by Luvi Marie

If you have ever set foot in the beauty aisle of a pharmacy or department store, you know that it can be quite difficult to choose a beauty skin care product from the many choices available. Some people may feel overwhelmed and default to just regular soap and water for their skin but you should really take the time to decide what you want to accomplish first and then narrow down your choices until you get to just one beauty skin care product or two.
Normal skin, oily skin, combination skin … you have to not only wade through the variety of skin creams, eye creams, body lotions, pore gels and more but you also have to find a beauty skin care product that fits your particular type of skin. No matter how you look at it, it can be mind-boggling so stick with three main things " an exfoliating agent, sunscreen and a moisturizer and you should be fine.

Exfoliate

One particular beauty skin care product you need is an exfoliator which will help get rid of dead accumulating skin cells so that fresh new skin and shine through. By exfoliating, you are reducing your chances of forming black heads and white heads, two types of acne that can be unattractive.

Sun Protection

Your beauty skin care product, whether it is a moisturizing cream, eye gel, or liquid foundation should include some type of sun protection with at least an SPF of 30. The item you choose should protect you from UV and UVB rays so help prevent the development of skin cancer.

Moisturizer

A good moisturizer should be a beauty skin care product staple in your overall beauty regiment as it can slow down your skin’s aging process. Moisturizer can be found in a variety of forms as well as being built in a variety of products. There are moisturizers for people with oily skin while there are also moisturizers for people who need to repair mild skin damage.

The best beauty skin care product around should be one that does double duty like a moisturizer and sun protective lotion all in one. As you age, little wrinkles start to form from sun exposure so by moisturizing using a beauty skin care product with a high SPF, you can help hydrate your skin while protecting it from potential cancer and age spots.

The bottom line is that the best beauty skin care product is the one that can do you the most good, whether it is diminishing fine lines and wrinkles or clearing up acne. It may take some trial and error as well as money, but once you find the right beauty skin care product for your needs, you have it made.

How To Minimize Wrinkles

by Ron King

Ten Tips for Turning Back the Clock on Wrinkles

Wrinkles are caused by aging skin and the elements that our skin is exposed to day after day. Wrinkles are a usual part of aging as our skin becomes thinner. Sun exposure is another major cause of wrinkles and can cause premature aging not only to the face, but also to other undressed parts of the body. Also, repeated facial expressions such as frowning and squinting cause's lines and wrinkles on the face. Whatever causes your wrinkles, there are precautions you can take to prevent and treat wrinkles to turn back the clock and make your appearance younger looking.

Prevention is the key to myriad wrinkles, especially those due to sun exposure. It is estimated that the sun causes at least 90 percent of premature aging and wrinkles.

Many of these lines and wrinkles can be arrested. This means that daily use of sunscreen can hugely reduce the amount of wrinkles that appear over time. UV rays can hit your skin year round, even when it is cold. If you are concerned with wrinkles, you should always employ a good sunscreen daily all year long. You can also help cut down on sun exposure by wearing a hat that shades your face when you are working or spending time in the elements.

If you can cut down on the quantity of ultraviolet rays hitting your face, you can take a big step in preventing premature aging. Washing the face everyday will help stop wrinkles, too. It is cautioned that when you wash your face, you use warm tap water and do not scrub. Also, it is important to thoroughly remove all make up and use a light cleanser with added moisturizer.

When you are ready to dry your face, do not rub the cloth on your face. Instead, use soft patting motions to dry. Another step you can take to help prevent wrinkles is to eat right and drink plenty of water daily. Your body sweats a lot of water each day. When you hydrate your body from the inside, your skin will glean the benefits. Drinking the recommend daily measures of water helps your skin stay smooth and supple. Skin that is moist does not lose its elasticity as fast as dehydrated skin. Also, make sure you eat healthy and eat a wide variety of foods each day.

Whole grains, fruits and vegetables will help keep you healthy and your skin will benefit as well. Adding small amounts of healthy oils such as olive oil to your diet may also help your skin. In addition to obstructing wrinkles, there are steps you can take to help minimize the amount of wrinkles you may already have. One very common way is to use a daily moisturizer.

There are several types of moisturizers that actually helps hydrate the skin and leave the surface on your face looking smooth. This will help minimize existing wrinkles and may help hamper new wrinkles from forming in the long run. For more effect, use a moisturizer each night before bed and every morning before applying makeup. Many people with wrinkles opt to use under-the-eye lotions.

These salves are specifically made to help reduce the puffiness and dark circles that are often under the eye. Because the skin under the eyes is very translucent and does not produce oils as well as other parts of the face, wrinkles are frequent. Also, rubbing the eyes may cause wrinkles to form, so it is always best to apply eye moisturizer with very gentle dobbing motions. There are also many sorts of products that claim to help reduce or minimize the appearance of wrinkles.

These treatments can be bought over the counter or by prescription through a dermatologist. Many people believe these items work, so if you are looking to reduce the amount of wrinkles, check out some of those products. Another, more expensive alternative to deal with wrinkles is to visit a professional. Plastic surgeons see many patients wishing to look younger. Site injections such as Botox are becoming more popular as are face lifts. These solutions are not cheap, though. Be prepared to spend hundreds of dollars for surgical techniques to shed wrinkles. Botox injections are effective, but the results are not permanent.
